Infant Massage

Free Infant Massage Resource Pack

Parents are given an Infant Massage Resource Book which is built upon each week. The information in the book includes all the massage strokes for legs, feet, tummy, chest, arms, hands, head, face and back, as well as the gas and colic routine. Other information includes hand-outs on baby states and cues, crying babies and how to adapt massage for your growing child.

Many families like to use Infant Massage as part of the bedtime routine. I include a song or lullaby at the end of each session, which can be a great addition to the bedtime routine. Participants are also given a free bottle of pure, organic massage oil.

Classes for Spring/Summer 2011

With the arrival of our baby girl in April I have not yet scheduled a group class. If you are interested in taking a group class though please let me know. It should be fairly easy to drum up enough interest! I do offer private classes however. Let me know if this is something you’d like!

Cost: $120

Just as we, adults, enjoy a relaxing massage, so do our babies. Infant massage, sometimes known as nurturing touch, can be beneficial to your child in many, many ways including giving relief from colic, improving blood circulation, better development of the nervous system, stimulated neurological development, a reduction in stress hormones, a better immune function, a better sleeping baby..... the list goes on!

Infant massage can be relaxing for you, the parent/caregiver too and can develop and deepen the bond you have with your child.

Tamesin Grosset is a certified infant massage instructor and is trained and qualified with IAIM/WINC (www.iaim.ws). She is fully insured and has a current police record check.

Infant Massage classes are ideal for newborn/pre-crawling babies. Each class is about 1 hour in length and the full course is a series of 5 classes. Alternatively we are able to offer a private class. In this case we would teach the full infant massage routine in the comfort of your own home. This may benefit families where a partner is unable to come to the weekday class. Private bookings also receive the same resource pack and free bottle of infant massage oil.
